Twitterpated Iris Folding Heart for Valentine's Day

This Twitterpated Iris Folding Heart for Valentine's Day Card was made or my husband and father for Valentine's Day.  This year David & I agreed to keep Valentine's Day low-key this year because David had surgery just a few weeks ago and is currently on disability.  So we agreed to get each the movie's I had picked up.  He had wanted The Thing (the new one) so I had picked it up for him to watch while he recovers.  I had picked up Breaking Dawn Part 1 for myself Saturday morning.  I had also picked him a box of chocolates (Turtles). 

We also had conferences that night for our son Andrew so we planned to order Applebee's after conferences ended.  So after getting home from picking up dinner I passed out the kids their gifts and cards and David & dad theirs.  David says to me did you see your present?  As he looked to the fireplace.  There on the fireplace sat a Dozen Red Roses.  He also gave me my favorite Caramel Ghirardelli Chocolates!  So much for having an agreement! :)

Outlined Occasions Valentine

I made this Outlined Occasions Valentine Card for my 4 sons and my niece (each got their own card).  I used Real Red Card Stock for the card base then layered some Basic Black Card Stock on top of it with SNAIL Adhesive.  

Next I ran the Whisper White Card Stock through the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine with the Adorning Accents Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (the hearts) along the bottom.  Next I stamped Love from the Outlined Occasions Stamp Set onto the top of the card with Basic Black Classic Stampin' Pad then colored it with Real Red Stampin' Write Marker & Pretty In Pink Stampin' Write Marker.

I then punched out two hearts using the Full Hearts Punch with Real Red Card Stock and Pretty In Pink Card Stock.  I then added the Real Red Heart to the Whisper White Card Stock with SNAIL Adhesive at an angle then layered the Pretty In Pink Heart over the Real Red Heart with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Next I added Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon around the Whisper White Card Stock, then finished off my card by attaching it to the Basic Black Card Stock with SNAIL Adhesive.

Sprinkled Expressions Valentine

The Sprinkled Expressions Stamp Set is one of this years Sale-A-Bration Products available FREE with a $50 merchandise order.  It also makes a fabulous Valentine's Day Card!  This card was one of the many Valentine's Day projects I worked on today.  I can't say who it's going to because Valentine's Day isn't for a couple more days and I would hate to ruin their surprise when they open it.  

Since I needed to make a number of Valentine's Day Cards I made to sure to vary my shades of red with each card design.  So for this Sprinkled Expressions Valentine I decide to go with a Cherry Cobbler Monochromatic Card Design.  This base of the card uses Whisper White Card Stock and I trimmed off the bottom 1-1/2 then used the Eyelet Border Punch across it.  Next I added 2" of Cherry Cobbler Card Stock to the bottom to make the Eyelet Border stand out a little more.  

Next the LOVE you saying was added using Cherry Cobbler Classic Stampin' Pad above the Eyelet Border on the right side.  I then tied some Cherry Cobbler 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon above that then stamped the heart on the top right side of the card to finish this off.

How to Wrap All The Gifts You Bought This Weekend!

How to Wrap All The Gifts You Bought This Weekend! Just add handmade Paper Bow to all your packages. Handmade Paper bows are quick and easy to make and they require very little supplies to make them.

How to Make a Paper Bow

1. Start with a 6" X 12" Piece of Double Sided Designer Series Paper.  For My bow I used Holly Berry Bouquet Specilty Designer Series Paper.
2. Cut 8 1" X 6" Pieces of your Designer Series Paper. After cutting these 8 pieces out of your 6" X 12" piece you will be left with a 4" X 6" Piece. 
3. Make loops with 4 of the 1" X 6" strips with Side 1 of the designer series paper attaching the bottoms using SNAIL adhesive.  Then make loops with the other 4 strips using Side  2 of the designer series paper using SNAIL Adhesive.
4. Cut 1 1" X 4" Piece of your Designer Series Paper. Make sure to cut this one before the 1" X 5"  strips or you will need additional paper.  
5. Make a circle with Side 1 of the 1" X 4" piece and attach the ends together using SNAIL Adhesive.  
6. Cut 4 1" X 5" Pieces of your Designer Series Paper.
7. Make loops with your 1" X 5" Strips using Side 2 and attach the bottoms using SNAIL Adhesive.
8. Using the Crop-A-Dile a punch small holes at the botton of all 12 of your loops.
9. Use a Silver Brad to attach the 4 Side 1 1" X 6" loops together. 
10. Repeat step 9 with the 4 Side 2 1" X 6" loops together.
11. Repeat step 9 with the 4 Side 2 1" X 5" loops together.
12. Place a Mini Glue Dot at the center of each layer then attach together with alternating patterns.

What I have to be Thankful For...

What I have to be thankful for...  I have the love and support of wonderful husband David and 4 handsome young sons.  I am thankful for my many family and friends.  I am thankful to be a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and working  for being such fabulous company that allows me to do something I love to do.

Merry & Type Peace On Earth

Merry & Type Stamp Set was one of the first Christmas Stamp Set I purchased this year.  I love the look of the ornaments and the first things I thought of doing with this set was to emboss them!   The ornaments were stamped with VersaMark Pad then embossed with Silver Stampin' Emboss Powder.  They were then colored with Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Marker and Night of Navy Stampin' Write Marker.  The ornaments were then layered onto Night of Navy Card Stock.  The right edge of the Bashful Blue Card Stock was punched using the Scallop Edge Punch then the Night of Navy Card Stock was layered onto it using SNAIL Adhesive.

Peace on Earth was stamped in VersaMark and Embossed using Silver Emboss Powder then punched out using the Decorative Label Punch then layered onto a Large Oval Label punched out of Bashful Blue Card Stock.
